One of our key competencies is household sustainability, all of our key staff are trained Home Sustainability Assessors, accredited with ABSA (Association of Building Sustainability Assessors) and contracted to the Australian Government, Department of Environment (DEWHA).
Our team of Government accredited Sustainability Assessors will visit you free of charge and provide tailored information on ways to create a more sustainable, energy efficient and cost effective household. The Federal Government is currently supporting this program and absorbing the cost of the assessment so it can be offered at no cost to Australian householders.

What does a Home Sustainability Assessment involve?
Our certified Sustainability Assessor will visit your home and conduct a physical inspection of the associated energy and water systems. The Assessor will review thermal performance (the way in which building design and materials effect heat flows into and out of the building), water heating and efficiency, lighting, refrigeration, cooking, entertainment and waste management.
They will develop an understanding of how people consume energy and water services with their home. The data collected is entered into an assessment software tool to generate a report.
Throughout the process the Assessor will provide a range of practical suggestions and solutions to help improve household efficiency and sustainability.
Government Rebates
Governments at both State and Federal level are offering a range of programs that can help households reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. These programs provide varying levels of grants or rebates, and in some cases will completely cover the cost of the specific changes. We can advise you on the government rebates you may be eligible for. We will explain what they are, how to get them, and how much you can expect. It could amount to thousands of dollars in savings!

Accredited assessors
Our assessors have undergone appropriate training, and are registered through the industry body, the Association of Building Sustainability Assessors (ABSA). Each assessor is also registered with the Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts as a contractor for the purposes of conducting assessments.
Furthermore it is our company policy that all staff must undertake a police check before starting with us. This is also a requirement by the Australian Government.

Our assessors complete assessments in many different areas, in varying styles of homes. There is no good or bad, right or wrong, and we don’t mind if you didn’t get a chance to hang out the washing.
